Westwood Women's Bruins Club
WWBC is an organization that was formed to create, foster, develop and encourage the interest of graduates, former students and friends of UCLA in the aims and achievements of the University and to serve the University in a volunteer capacity.
In a rapidly changing world, WWBC has consistently provided a place for alumnae and friends to meet in a friendly setting to hear interesting speakers from the UCLA community. Our group also supports annual scholarships for women students, particularly those who have returned to school after postponing completion of their education. We always have an exceptional group of scholars and it is especially good to see them at our programs. Many have returned to the Club after graduation to serve as officers and members.

Why I’m a member of WWBC:
Sharon Rowlands, current president: “At the invitation of Shari Bienlein, I came to my first WWBC luncheon in 2012. I loved the speaker format and the group dynamic so much that I kept coming back, became a member the following year and am honored to be currently serving as president of this awesome group of Bruins and friends!”
Letha Kemper: “In the process of speaking with Sheena Ricchio, [Vice President-Programs,] she mentioned WWBC. I attended and really enjoyed it!”
Claudia Hart: “My friend Letha Kemper invited me as a guest to a couple meetings. I enjoyed the speakers and the other members. Most of my support to UCLA was through athletics, so I appreciated the group’s mission of raising money for academic scholarships.”
Marian Hope: “I became acquainted with members of this group and loved keeping the “Bruin” legacy alive.
Paula Treharne: “30+ years ago my dear friend Barbara Rieber suggested joining WWBC. She knew I would like it!”
Sandy Hubert: “I used to come with Zada Foll and one day my membership arrived courtesy of our Zada!”
Dolly Rogers: “Sandy Hubert and Zada Foll encouraged me to join – glad I did!”
Gloria Whitmoyer: “Friends told me how much I would enjoy the ladies, talks and food.”
