During my work career and return to San Diego City Community College, I combined my passion for cinematography and community service by making short films for local non-profits. In 2015, I worked as a research associate in Dr. Scott Fraser’s lab at USC. My work involved genetic engineering using CRISPR/Cas-9 to image monoamine transporters within live zebrafish. Biography: I am honored and humbled to be an Alumni Scholar. Even though I am petite in size, I have a colossal personality. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, playing volleyball, and singing along to my favorite songs. I am exceptionally passionate about the medical field, and I hope to pursue a career as an anesthesiologist. Attending UCLA has always been a dream of mine, and I cannot wait to see what is in store for me these next four years. Go Bruins!

Biography: I was raised in Tijuana, Mexico, and am a first-generation college student. I am very excited about my education. I love dancing ballet, volunteering, experiencing new adventures, and spending time with my family. I’ve always been interested in improving the living and working conditions of my community. Currently, I am leaning towards Industrial/Organizational Psychology in order to provide great service in an organization.
