Mahvash Siddiqui’s (Bruin story since ’99) is an embodiment of dedication, passion, and service. Mahvash is a dedicated U.S. diplomat with a rich, multi-generational American heritage. As the daughter of a UN ambassador, her journey into international affairs was sparked during college through her involvement in debate.
Excelling in the Foreign Service Officer Test, Mahvash earned a top-five ranking and joined the U.S. Department of State to serve Americans abroad. Fluent in seven Indian languages and Arabic, Mahvash also earned a minor in English at UCLA, where she explored West African dance and conducted histology research.
Guided by a calling greater than herself, she embodies humility and versatility, navigating a career that demands constant adaptability. Mahvash’s unwavering belief in giving diverse voices a seat at the table while advancing U.S. interests and safeguarding citizens worldwide is truly inspiring.
