From dorm room vlogs to a global movement of connection, Sophie Silva ’24’s journey began right here at UCLA.

As a Bruin she uses her voice of honesty, healing, and empowerment for young women everywhere. Sophie opened up about her struggles with body image and an eating disorder, sharing her story to remind others they weren’t alone. What started as a way to be someone people could relate to has since made her the internet’s “big sister.”

Today, she’s built a community of nearly 10 million followers across platforms, connecting with people around the world through authenticity, humor, and heart. And she’s just getting started.
