Bruin Family Insights: A Chat with Bruin Parents

In this installment of Bruin Family Insights, participants will hear from current Bruin parents at various stages of their student’s UCLA experience and their own, as panelists include Parents’ Council, alumni and staff members. These firsthand UCLA perspectives will include advice for supporting students at all points in their UCLA career and valuable resources for families at UCLA.

Bruin Family Insights virtual discussions are intended to provide additional support for Bruin families and help them better understand the university. They provide a formal link to the university, enable parents to knowledgeably and fruitfully engage in their student’s college experience, and provide a virtual brave space for Bruin family members to reach out with questions and receive additional support themselves.

Bruin Family Insights: First-Generation Students & Families

In this installment of Bruin Family Insights, participants will learn about resources available to first-generation students and their families, understand how first-generation families can become connected to UCLA and gain insight into the first-generation student experience at UCLA.

Bruin Family Insights: Sexual Violence Prevention and Response

In this installment of Bruin Family Insights, participants will become familiar with sexual health resources available at UCLA, learn strategies for engaging with their student regarding healthy sexual practices and understand the current climate at UCLA/how the University is working to prevent sexual violence.
