No UCLA tradition generates as much fanfare, nostalgia and excitement as the Beat ’SC Week. This year, join us on campus for an afternoon filled with games, music, giveaways, food trucks and more!
Celebrate one of UCLA’s longest-running on-campus traditions all week, honoring the unmatched spirit and loyalty of our students, fans and alumni before we cheer on the UCLA Football team as they prepare to take on the Trojans!

Beat 'SC Week Kickoff
- Monday, Nov. 24, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Bruin Plaza, UCLA Campus
Kick off the week and get into the Bruin spirit at the Beat ’SC Kickoff! Stop by Bruin Walk and start making your Beat 'SC Week one you’ll never forget, featuring tailgate games, craft stations and freebies, a performance from the UCLA Band, food trucks, photo opportunities and more.
Paint the Town Blue
- Nov. 23-29
- Westwood Village
This week, Westwood will come alive as we decorate the village in blue and gold. Businesses and storefronts will be adorned with UCLA spirit as windows will be painted to showcase our Bruin pride. Yet, the fun doesn’t have to be only in Westwood! No matter where you are, decorate your work or living space and share photos on social using #BEATSC.
Get the Red Out Beat 'SC T-Shirt Exchange
- Monday, Nov. 24, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Bruin Plaza, UCLA Campus
The first 300 students can exchange any red piece of clothing, excluding undergarments, or a non-perishable food item at the Kickoff for a Beat 'SC Week T-shirt. More opportunities to get a shirt will be available throughout the week.

We want to hear from you! We’re celebrating the history, passion and unforgettable moments that make the Crosstown Showdown so special, and want YOU to be part of it. Abbott and the Big Ten's "We Give Blood" Drive
- All Week
Abbott and the Big Ten are hosting another blood drive competition, and we're calling all our able students, alumni and fans to participate! Last year, UCLA collected more than 1,500 blood donations, potentially saving over 4,500 lives. This year, we’re aiming to increase that number! Students, alumni and fans can help by donating blood between now and Dec. 5 at a blood center or blood drive. Plus, Abbott is releasing exclusive, limited-edition UCLA Homefield-designed T-shirts to donors throughout the competition, while supplies last.
