The reason that we keep hosting is because as part of our Dinner for 12 Students or Faculty, we enjoy meeting the young students and hearing about what they are doing on campus now in this current time. But with that said, UCLA college students of the 1970’s aren’t so different from today: they are hungry for a good meal, enjoy being in a personal home for a bit, and want to share in the camaraderie of UCLA.
It is probably the most fun evening we have all year. The students like meeting more alumni and have conversations about careers, majors and internships with our guests who are doctors, finance professionals , CPAs, real estate developers, educators, and psychologists.
It is not hard to do, food can be anything from Mexican to Tailgate, home cooked or brought in, the students will eat anything. It is the atmosphere of UCLA that draws us together and we appreciate sharing our young and old experiences together-including the dreaded finals!”
