bruin family socials
Bruin Family Socials are informal regional gatherings that bring UCLA to neighborhoods around the world. Hosted by current UCLA families, they give parents and family members a way to connect with one another close to home and build the Bruin community in their area. Socials run year-round on a rolling basis.
how they work
Each Social is hosted by a parent or family member of a current UCLA undergraduate. Hosts choose the activity, the location, and the timing, so no two events look quite the same. The format is informal by design: the goal is for nearby families to meet, share their experience, and stay connected to UCLA and to each other.
host a social in your area
Hosting is one of the most direct ways to get involved as a UCLA family. You bring together other Bruin families in your region, and we help you make it happen. Socials take place throughout the year, wherever Bruin families are.
