Emily Taylor brings first-hand experience of the hiring process from the employer’s side and the preparation process from a business school career center perspective. This means she can tell you with certainty what it takes to shine. Over the past 15 years, Taylor has used her insider knowledge to help thousands of career seekers take their next step. She graduated from Stanford University with a BA and Masters degree, and began her career as a college counselor, placing over 500 students at top schools in America. Next step was an MBA at UCLA Anderson. From there, she went to a high growth startup and managed all recruiting, hiring and human resources as the VP of Talent. Taylor returned to UCLA Anderson to redesign their career education program. She coached 2,500 students in career management and transformed UCLA’s Career Services Center into the No. 1 career services program in the top 20 business schools. To extend her reach beyond UCLA Anderson, Taylor founded NextStep Careers to give job seekers the personalized career coaching they need to succeed in today’s competitive job market. She has successfully coached in 45 cities in six different countries on career pathing, résumé design, LinkedIn profile optimization, authentic networking, cover letter writing, multiple rounds of interviewing and offer negotiation. In fact, most of her new clients are referrals from her satisfied clientele. Taylor takes the time to understand you and your career goals and then customizes a coaching program to enable you to achieve your objectives. In addition, she runs courses and workshops for companies, foundations and universities like Johnson & Johnson, Forte Foundation and the UCLA Anderson Alumni Association.
