Rachelle M. Bin '85, J.D. '88
Rachelle M. Bin '85, J.D. '88, will assume the role of general counsel at Fox Rothschild LLP, effective April 1.
“For more than a decade now, Rachelle has been an integral team member in our Office of General Counsel, working side-by-side with [outgoing general counsel Thomas D. Paradise] as they field inquiries from lawyers throughout the firm, facilitate integration of new laterals and generally do the often-invisible but nonetheless critical risk prevention and mitigation work essential to our successful firm operation and growth,” said Firmwide Managing Partner Mark L. Morris. “With her years of institutional knowledge and her unparalleled mediation skills, paired with the deep and meaningful relationships she has cultivated with attorneys throughout the firm, Rachelle will provide preeminent leadership to our risk management function,” said Firmwide Managing Partner Mark L. Morris.
Bin joined Fox in 2010 as assistant general counsel and, in 2021, was promoted to deputy general Counsel. She is skilled in dispute resolution and liability issues and advises firm attorneys on legal matters relating to risk management, ethics and compliance with the rules of professional conduct. She also manages litigation against the firm and its attorneys, supervises outside counsel and handles all aspects of settlements. In her new role, she will continue to provide counsel to the executive committee, the firm’s governing body, on policies and procedures, and provide risk management assistance to the firm’s nationwide network of 1000 attorneys.

Bin is a first-generation citizen of the United States. Her parents fled Cuba in 1960, and she was born and raised in Los Angeles, with Spanish as her first language. Her parents emphasized education as a top priority. An English major as an undergraduate, she is fluent in Spanish as well as French. Among her prior roles, Bin served as senior legal counsel for Univision Communications in California and was a former deputy trial counsel for the State Bar of California.
Active in the community and a leader in the legal field, Bin was selected by the New Jersey Law Journal to its “Unsung Heroes” and “Diverse Attorneys of the Year” lists. She is a Trustee of Saint Elizabeth University in New Jersey.
A mom of three, Bin enjoys traveling with her husband and children, bike riding and reading in her spare time.
