Stephanie Wong '14

Stephanie Wong '14 won the Miss Chinatown USA 2016 pageant, as well as Miss Talent 2016 and AT&T Miss Innovation 2016. Since 1958, the Miss Chinatown USA pageant has been an annual Lunar New Year event and celebration. For over 50 years, young women have traveled to San Francisco to compete in the pageant for prizes and scholarships. The winners of the pageant represent the Chinese community and act as ambassadors, promoting Chinese culture and heritage. Wong stated: “What I learned at UCLA and the diversity of the campus community has provided me with an invaluable foundation for understanding the need for cultural vibrancy and tradition.”
