Anne Swoboda Cruz '00, J.D. '03

Anne Swoboda Cruz '00, J.D. '03 received the 2017 Outstanding Leader award from the Defense Research Institute's (DRI) Women in the Law (WITL) committee. The annual award recognizes a WITL leader who has shown exemplary service, dedication, and innovation on behalf of DRI and the committee. Cruz was presented the award at DRI's annual meeting in Chicago on Oct. 6.

Cruz was elected to the position of partner at Tucker Ellis LLP effective Jan. 1, 2017. She represents a wide range of clients for the firm, including telecommunications companies, manufacturers and retailers. Cruz received her law degree from the UCLA School of Law and her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from UCLA where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa society.

Cruz practices in the areas of commercial, antitrust and products liability litigation.
