An effective, innovative and inspiring undergraduate instructor, Alessandro has been largely responsible for transforming linguistic anthropology at UCLA into one of the premiere programs in the United States. With great determination, he has transformed the large, lower-division course Anthropology 33 (Culture and Communication) into an interactive educational experience, making creative use of multimedia technology to enhance pedagogical objectives. Enrollment for the class has more than doubled over the years.
