Dorene Martinez ’99

Dorene has already demonstrated a strong commitment to public service. Majoring in politics of education, which combined courses from education, political science and anthropology, she was a Minority Student Research Exchange Program Fellow at Cornell University, where she pursued independent research on the cost-benefit analysis of immigration and its impact in the U.S. economy. Dorene was also on the UCLA Dean’s Honors List, was a member of Golden Key National Honor Society and was selected by USA Today to the All-American Second Academic Team.
