Gloria Ko
As a freshman, Gloria Ko had a dream of making a difference at UCLA, and as a senior, she has attained that goal. This year, she serves as internal affairs executive director of the Student Alumni Association (SAA), where her job is to head a committee which promotes morale and enthusiasm among SAA members and volunteers. In her leadership role, Gloria has been able to make positive changes in the organization. As an orientation counselor, she has impacted the lives of innumerable UCLA students; as a mentor, she helped set up the incoming students’ schedules and helped them to adjust to college life.
After graduation, Gloria plans to pursue a career in education and student programming. When she started at UCLA, Gloria knew she wanted to be involved. However, she had no idea that her participation in the various student groups would be a starting point for her future. Next year, Gloria will be returning to UCLA as a graduate student in the School of Education.
