Harold Haytin ’40
Harold Haytin’s extraordinary service to UCLA has made an indelible mark on the University. He has served his alma mater generously and tirelessly over the past two decades in some 35 separate posts. Major among his activities have been The UCLA Foundation board of trustees, which he served as president and chair, Alumni Association and the current and vitally important UCLA Campaign. He has also been active in support of the College of Letters and Science and several UCLA graduate school and served as a lecturer for UCLA Extension. Chairman Emeritus of California Capital Investors, Haytin has enjoyed a very successful business career. From 1950-1980, he was associated with Telector, Inc., serving as chairman, president and chief executive officer. He also has participated extensively in community activities, including the City of Hope, Constitutional Rights Foundation and several museum and cultural groups. He has not only contributed substantially to the causes in which he believes, but he has also continued to give his expert leadership as well. Haytin enjoys the best of several worlds: his remarkable business career, a loving family and his cherished university. All are the richer and better for his care and involvement.
