James Klain ’43
James Klain has been manager of the UCLA campus activities service office since 1947. He is actively involved in the design, management, production, supervision and execution of campus programs. A 1943 graduate of UCLA with a degree in drama, Klain brings new dimensions to University activities. His knowledge of what is ‘good theater’ has creatively transformed campus events into artistic productions. He is a 1980 recipient of the Southern California Educational Theatre Association Distinguished Achievement Award. His service to the University goes beyond the realm of his position; he is campus coordinator of the United Way campaign and a member of the board of directors of the University Credit Union.
