Kimberlee Ward ’93

Kimberlee Ward has a history of active involvement in the University community, particularly in the areas of women’s advancement and advocacy. She has been directly involved in student government policy-making as a member of the UCLA Sexual Harassment Policy Evaluation Committee, the UCLA Student Welfare Commission’s Rape Prevention and Education Program and has served as Undergraduate Representative to the UCLA Honors Advisory Committee. Ward has been a staff writer and, later, editorial assistant for Together, UCLA’s Feminist Newsmagazine.

She has served as Community Service Co-Chair for Mortar Board, been a Volunteer Research Assistant at the California Women’s Law Center, a member of the Board of Directors if IMPACT, a self-defense organization, where she chaired the Human Resources Committee and a Training Assistant for the American Indian Education Committee. Ward has also been a member of Honors Student Council and a tutor for the UCLA Watts Program. She received the City of Los Angeles Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Community Service.

In the academic sense, Ward has proven herself to be an insightful research with concise and well-organize writing skills. She successfully met the challenge to do advanced research for one chapter in a textbook of World Politics, overseeing the entire administration and publication process and serving as liaison between publisher, author and other contributors.
