Lester Korn ’59, M.B.A. ’60
Lester Korn is a pioneer in the field of specialized executive search. He is chairman of the board, chief executive officer and co-founder of Korn/Ferry International, the world’s largest executive search firm with 24 offices worldwide. Armed with a keen sense of the evolving needs and expanding nature of today’s industry, Korn has geared his efforts to meet the individual requirements of particular business groups. Korn/Ferry locates, evaluates and recommends potential directors for such diverse fields as energy, real estate, health services and electronics.
Korn is involved with numerous community organizations. He is director and treasurer of the National conference of Christians and Jews and is a member of the board of trustees for the City of Hope. He serves UCLA in a variety of capacities as a member of The UCLA Foundation Board of Trustees. He received his B.A. in finances and his M.B.A. from UCLA. He served nine years as a partner with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Company, the largest of the “big eight” accounting firms. He is a member of the board of directors for Continental American Properties, a national real estate development firm that he co-founded.
