Robert Rogers began his career at UCLA in 1935 as an assistant cashier. By 1975, he was associate director of the UCLA Foundation Planned Giving Program. He became the first non-academic employee in the university system to be named assistant vice chancellor emeritus by the Regents. He has had a “key, if quiet, part in moving UCLA along the road to distinction.” His loyal dedication is evidenced by his service to countless UCLA departments, centers, programs, organizations and individuals. He served as president of the Faculty Center, financial advisor to Design for Sharing, building chairman of the Murphy Hall East Wing and Faculty Center expansion and was the founding member of the Committee on Fine Arts Productions. He received his B.A. from UCLA in 1935.
