Life member J. Patrick Doust '07 has joined Downey Brand’s Trust & Estate Team. Doust comes to Downey Brand with extensive trial experience in matters involving trusts and estates, real estate, and elder abuse, as well as general commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense. Prior to Downey Brand, Patrick practiced for six years at a prominent firm in Los Angeles, where he represented individuals as well as large, multinational companies in a variety of disputes. In 2018, Patrick was a Legal Fellow at International Justice Mission’s Mumbai office where he worked with local prosecutors to bring criminal charges against sex-traffickers.

Doust earned his law degree from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2011, where he was the Associate Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal Of Business Law. At UCLA, he earned a bachelor of arts in economics, with minors in political science and accounting.
