Summer Taylor '98
Summer Taylor '98 (Life Member), a certified public accountant and business advisor with over 20 years of experience, has joined the board of directors of Think Together, a statewide nonprofit organization that partners with schools to change the odds for kids. With two million students in California still performing below grade level, Think Together plans to expand and partner with more schools to provide kids with expanded learning programs.
Taylor is the managing director at Deloitte, where she provides auditing, financial reporting, accounting, advisory and consulting services to publicly traded and privately held companies. She also currently serves as the president of the Orange County/Long Beach California Society of CPAs (CalCPA) chapter board. She is also a member of the California State University Fullerton Center for Corporate Reporting & Governance advisory board, as well as the CalCPA Accounting Education Committee. Taylor previously served on the boards of the Floral Park Neighborhood Association and the Network of Executive Women Southern California chapter.
Taylor is also the diversity and inclusion leader for Deloitte's Orange County office, responsible for designing programs that enhance employee engagement and connection. Through her leadership in CalCPA’s diversity initiative, she leads outreach events to introduce the accounting profession to a diverse group of students. Taylor received her bachelor’s degree in business economics from UCLA and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and CalCPA.
