Kendall A. VanConas '88For the third year in a row, Ventura County attorney Kendall A. VanConas '88 has been named a Super Lawyer for Southern California, placing her among the top five percent of the region's attorneys.

A recognized expert in conservatorship law, VanConas is managing partner at Arnold LaRochelle Mathews VanConas & Zirbel LLP (A to Z Law), one of Ventura County’s most distinguished law firms.

VanConas specializes in estate planning, probate and trust law, guiding families through the legal and emotional challenges that arise when dealing with long-term illness. She's worked in law for almost three decades and is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Law, as certified by the State Bar of California. VanConas has served for more than 10 years as a judge pro tem in the Ventura County Superior Court Probate Department.

Super Lawyers is a rating service that evaluates lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Candidates are selected by independent researchers and professional peers and cannot nominate themselves.

In addition to her law practice, VanConas is actively involved in the civic life of Ventura County, where she's lived for over 20 years. She's a long-term member of the Ventura County Bar Association, has served on numerous committees for the organization, and was its president in 2010.

VanConas earned her bachelor's degree in political science; she began her law practice with her family’s firm, Cohen and Cohen in Camarillo, running the firm as a sole practitioner before joining A to Z Law in 2003. VanConas lives in Ventura with her husband, Andrew, and their proudest achievement is being parents to their two daughters, Julia and Natalie.
