Healthy Living, Healthy Skin

New Year's resolutions have often focused on better ways of living healthy, from eating right to exercising more, but one part of the body that's often overlooked just happens to be its largest organ - the skin. Skin care is a billion dollar industry, although most of the products are neither tailored to your skin type, nor provide affordable and simple solutions to healthy skin. Your skin, the most visible part of you, has the power to boost your confidence, make you look and feel younger, and improve your quality of life. But if neglected, it can result in premature aging, affecting your self esteem, or lead to more serious health problems.

This event for men and women attempts to dispel myths and expose truths about maintaining healthy skin. UCLA dermatologist Jenny Hu, M.P.H. '07, M.D. '07 will teach you how to put forth your best self. Specializing in skin cancer surgery, Dr. Hu will show you what to avoid, what to acquire and how healthy living leads to healthy skin and vice versa. She will not endorse any singular product like skin care infomercials do, but provide practical insights from an unbiased, academic perspective.
A networking session will follow the discussion, allowing you to ask Dr. Hu specific questions or share advice with fellow young alumni.
RSVP by April 21.
Refreshments will be served. Space is limited.
