The UCLA Alumni Association, Westside Los Angeles Westside Network and Silicon Beach Network are proud to present the Young Alumni Career Launchpad for Bruins. This program is for young alumni looking to prepare and prime their professional toolkit for a successful job search, while being part of a supportive community. This five-week program brings career development experts and UCLA alumni together to help our Bruins develop and articulate their strengths.

Session 1: Program Welcome and Maximizing Your Strengths in Your Job Search (a $50 value)

Start the program with the CliftonStrengths assessment to gain insight on your strengths and how to leverage them in your professional development and job search.

 

Session 2: Navigating the Job Market Online
Optional Networking Session: 7-7:15 p.m.

Learn how to prepare your résumé,, cover letter, and online assets to maximize the job search process.

 

Session 3: Effective Networking in a COVID Economy
Optional Networking Session: 7-7:15 p.m

Hear from Bruin leaders on how to network effectively virtually and in-person.

 

Session 4: Mock Interviews
Optional Networking Session: 7-7:15 p.m

Build confidence in the virtual interview process with a mock interview with a Bruin. Gain insights from their experience and feedback on your interviewing skills.

 

Optional Session 5: Success in the Workplace Panel
Optional Networking Session: 7-7:15 p.m

Learn from a panel of Bruin leaders on building relationships with colleagues in a remote setting, starting a new job strong during a pandemic and setting boundaries to find balance.

Cost:
$30 for the entire program. The cost of the program is to cover the CliftonStrengths assessment. This assessment is a $50 value.
