The Academic Advancement Program (AAP) has been a hallmark of excellence at UCLA for four decades. It's mission has been, and will continue to be, to increase the number of students from first generation, historically underrepresented and low-income populations who enter graduate and professional programs. It strives to develop academic, scientific, business, political, and community leaders from diverse backgrounds and works to ensure the academic excellence and graduation of all AAP-eligible students. It's alumni have achieved leadership roles in their civic, community and professional lives.

This year, for the first time you can designate your annual gift, including membership in Chancellor's Associates Associates, directly to AAP to provide scholarship support and services to the over 6,000 AAP eligible students on campus. As did their predecessors, AAP students have struggled to overcome enormous obstacles and barriers to gain entrance to UCLA. Once here, they are supported, through AAP, in an intellectually challenging program that creates a community of scholars of similar backgrounds.

To make a gift to support AAP students, please visit the UCLA Giving website and select the Academic Advancement Program. Every gift counts!
