A distinguished lawyer, scholar, and community activist, Angela Oh unselfishly and generously contributes her time and talents for the enrichment of others and the betterment of her community.

Oh has given exemplary local, national and international leadership in violence prevention and race relations through her widely lauded public service. She has served on the Advisory Board of President Clinton’s Initiative on Race, as Special Counsel to the California State Assembly Special Committee on the Los Angeles Riots, as a member of the City of Los Angeles Human Relations Commission, as president of the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California, as a member of the United States Senator Barbara Boxer’s Federal Judicial Nominations Committee, and as a board member of the California Women’s Law Center. Oh has taken an active role at UCLA, having assisted the School of Public Health in facilitating ties between the school and the corporate community in support of the Center for Public Health and Disaster Relief. The UC Davis School of Law selected Angela as its Distinguished Alumnus in 1996 and she received the Social Vision Award by the UCLA Asian American Studies Center in 1998.
