Cesar Pacheco Garcia ʼ18
Cesar Pacheco Garcia ʼ18 is the recipient of the 2024 UCLA Award for Volunteer of the Year for his dedication to building an inclusive Bruin community. Pacheco leads by example, taking an active role in creating opportunities to support UCLA students.
Currently in his first term and second year as president of the UCLA Latino Alumni Association (ULAA), he recognizes the network’s unique role in bringing people together. His outstanding loyalty, dedication and commitment to the UCLA community are strengthening ULAA’s influence, impact and reach.
Under Pacheco’s leadership, he has championed a focus on growing the organization’s fundraising power and increasing the number of students who receive ULAA scholarships and support. From a successful Spark Campaign to the Jaquez Family partnership, ULAA recently has raised more than $300,000 in current-use and endowment dollars. The ULAA Board approved a plan to support 41 UCLA students over the next four academic years.
Pacheco is a real estate professional based in West Los Angeles, working as a commercial real estate agent and separately managing a multi-family real estate portfolio. Raised in Fresno, California, he received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from UCLA, where he was a member of the Bruin Real Estate Association and completed the real estate financial modeling training course with the UCLA Anderson Real Estate Association. He was also a member of the UCLA Club Wrestling team.
As a well-known figure in the Bruin community, Pacheco is paying it forward while giving back. He is actively involved with the West L.A. Chancellor’s Society, serves as the vice president for diversity and inclusion with UCLA Young Bruin Professionals and is a member of the UCLA Real Estate Alumni Group and the Order of the Blue Shield. He also represents UCLA as a member of the UC Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Pacheco is passionate about helping others, tirelessly giving his time to meetings, mentoring and fundraising. He is making a difference in the lives of others through his unwavering commitment to UCLA.
