Hooshang Kangarloo
Hooshang Kangarloo is an associate professor of radiologic sciences and chief of the pediatric radiology section of the UCLA Medical Center. He directs the diagnostic radiology residency program, an assignment that permits his teaching insights to be translated into effective policy. He is a three-time recipient of the Robert G. Neerhour Department of Pediatrics Teaching Award. He has also been honored with the Leo G. Rigler Outstanding Teaching Award in the Department of Radiological Sciences.
Intellectually exciting to students and colleagues, Dr. Kangarloo’s encyclopedic knowledge of scientific and clinical issues is enhanced by an intuitive grasp of the conceptual implications of complex detail.
Dr. Kangarloo received his M.D. from Tehran University and served his internship at Prince George General Hospital, Maryland. Completing his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Medical College of Virginia, he joined the UCLA faculty in 1976. He is the author of many published works on the topics of radiology and ultrasonic techniques.
