John Farrell ’49, M.B.A. ’50

John Farrell, partner-in-charge if the Century City office of Price Waterhouse, is a highly successful professional who has consistently made time for UCLA, taking on important leadership roles and tasks. Farrell graduated in 1949 with a bachelors’ degree in economics and received his M.B.A. in accounting the following year.

Farrell lends his expertise as a member of the UCLA/GSM project team undertaking to develop a comparison of accounting and financial reporting systems in the United States with those in use in the People’s Republic of China. He has contributed in the support and leadership of UCLA for many years. Farrell has chaired the Dean’s Management Roundtable at GSM and is a member of the Chancellor’s Associates. He served as president of The UCLA Foundation and is currently the Foundation’s chairman of the board. Farrell recently was elected to the position of president-elect of the UCLA Alumni Association, his term beginning this fall.
