Queen Udofia's college experience did not go exactly as she had planned. In 1998, the loss of her father devastated her family and pulled her from the excitement of her first quarter at UCLA. But despite challenges over the past three years, Udofia never compromised her high academic standards. As a student, Udofia often rose to the top of her classes with incredible intelligence, insightfulness, ambition and emotional maturity. Her academic excellence earned her membership into the Golden Key National Honor Society as well as the Mortar Board National Honor Society. Additionally, Udofia had the opportunity to intern for the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a nonprofit public policy research entity in Washington, D.C.

Along with her impressive academic credentials, Udofia has also proven herself an outstanding leader, as evidenced by the numerous awards that she has received. They include the United States Air Force ROTC Veterans of Foreign Wars Citation and Medal Commendation for Outstanding Achievement and Exceptional Leadership Ability, the CSIS Anne Armstrong Leadership Award, the Chancellor's Service Award and UCLA's Distinguished Bruin Award.

Despite her numerous commitments, Udofia has never hesitated to help others in need in the broader community. She has translated her leadership skills and insights into being a dedicated mentor to others, giving significant amounts of her time and energy to organizations such as Project MAC, which provides after-school mentoring for inner-city children; Project BRITE, which helps incarcerated youths through education; and Project SET, an evening tutorial program for children in South Central Los Angeles.

Graduating summa cum laude as a double major in African-American Studies and philosophy, with a minor in education, Udofia hopes to pursue a career in law. With her extensive list of achievements, which include becoming a UCLA School of Law Fellow and, most recently named UCLA's Senior of the Year, Udofia is well on her way to rising to the top of the legal community and becoming a great role model for future Bruins.
