Soleil Delgadillo ’09

Soleil Delgadillo is the recipient of the 2017 Young Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award. Her volunteer leadership focuses on underserved communities. While at UCLA, she worked with youth through a UCLA Community Service Commission organization, Project B.R.I.T.E., which helps incarcerated youth. Delgadillo is currently involved with United Friends of the Children, empowering current and former foster youth, and serves as an advisory board member to College, Access, Readiness and Success (CARS), a project of Community Partners, and is a Big Sister for Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters. She has participated in programs such as L.A. Works, the UCLA Volunteer Center One Bus, One Cause program and was co-director of Future Leaders of our Community, Los Angeles (FLOC LA). At UCLA, Delgadillo serves as scholarship board chair for the UCLA Latino Alumni Association. She graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in sociology and minor in women's studies, and an M.S. in school counseling with P.P.S. Credential from California State University, Long Beach.
