UCLA Parents’ Council

Posted On - April 3

Established in 2008, the UCLA Parents’ Council has been named the 2017 Network of the Year. It was inaugurated by passionate Bruin family members to provide support and engagement for UCLA’s diverse and global family of students. Council members have participated in more than 100 activities and events, including coffee socials, move-in weekend, Bruin Family Weekend, welcome receptions, summer orientations, Bruin Bound and Bruin Day events, and Future Bruin Outreach. In addition to these activities, the council provides funds for a care-package program to support veterans, students with children and former foster youth.

Representing the Parents’ Council are the co-chairs, Bob and Deidre Murphy (left), and co-chairs-elect, Doug and Bernadette Larratt (right).
