Zuhairah Scott ’99

A College Honors student majoring in political science with a minor in public policy, Zuhairah plans to ultimately work with such groups as the NAACP and the ACLU and, one day, to start her own nonprofit organization. A recipient of the $10,000 UC Donald Strauss Award for Extraordinary Scholastic Merit, she has served as academic affairs commissioner of USAC and was founder and coordinator of the first African Student Union’s High School Conference, which provides inner-city students with information about college entrance and preparation.
