Weather: Usually perfect. Summer days are warm and sunny with temperatures reaching 85 degrees. Evenings are crisp and clear, rarely falling below 55 degrees, and illuminated by a dazzling display of stars. An occasional thunderstorm adds lots of excitement but seldom interferes with the activities and fun.
Lake Arrowhead: The premier freshwater lake resort in Southern California, rich in history and tradition. The lake is alive with activity and the village itself offers an array of shopping opportunities.
You and your family will occupy a fabulous guest unit at Bruin Woods. Our unique condolets offer a queen-size bed and private bath for the parents downstairs, while the kids enjoy an upstairs loft. There are also three vintage cottages for those longing for a touch of nostalgia.
The Main Lodge: The focal point of the entire camp, offering exceptional dining facilities and social gathering spaces. Its gracious decks and patios overlook rolling lawns, deep green forests and Lake Arrowhead itself.
Separate Rooms: Available for guests with disabilities. Other facilities are program accessible. Individuals who wish to request separate accommodations should advise us of special needs at least thirty days in advance.
Three Meals: For more than 40 years, the dinner bell at UCLA’s Lake Arrowhead Conference Center has signaled award winning food, and that tradition extends to Bruin Woods. Breakfast, served buffet style, includes bacon, eggs, pancakes, muffins, lots of fruit, cereal and yogurt. At lunch, also buffet style, you can match the quantity and type of food to your personal preference and needs. Dinners are served buffet style on china and linen.
Snack and Bar: We provide a grill where you can purchase between-meal treats and snacks with Bruin Burgers, yogurt, smoothies and ice cream topping the menu. And in accordance with our Bruin Honor Bar tradition, adults enjoy opening and closing cocktail parties as well as peaceful “adult time” throughout the week in our beautiful Lakeview Room.
