Joe Yogerst '79
Joe Yogerst '79 has published his first novel, a murder-mystery called "Nemesis" set in 1880's San Diego when it was a Wild West boomtown.
Yogerst worked on the Daily Bruin for four years as a sports writer and sport editor while earning a bachelor's degree in geography and interning at the L.A. Times. He later spent 13 years overseas (South Africa, England, Hong Kong, Singapore) as a newspaper reporter, magazine editor and freelance writer.
In addition to the novel, Yogerst is currently working on his 34th book project for National Geographic and writing a Nat Geo video series on American state parks.
