Emily Towner

Emily Towner is a graduate student and researcher at UCLA in the Master of Social Science program. She recently completed a post-baccalaureate program in Psychology at Columbia University. In addition, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Media from the City University of New York and an Associate of Applied Science in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology. While completing her post-baccalaureate and graduate studies, Emily has worked as a research assistant in several labs in the Psychology department. Her research interests include learning, memory, cognition, and development. She intends to eventually pursue a PhD. Emily has also worked as a journalist and in digital media where she developed skills in writing, reporting, public relations, web/video/photo production, and content creation. She has held several positions among major news outlets encompassing digital, print, and broadcast networks.
