Professor Megha Sundara has a Ph.D. in Communication Science and Disorders and a clinical master's degree in speech pathology and audiology. Her research focuses on how infants — monolingual and bilingual — learn language and develop grammatical sentences. In the language lab, infant, toddler, and young children's language perception and production are studied.
Professor Sundara has written extensive research papers, journals, and articles about language acquisition and has traveled throughout the world studying and presenting her work.
Join the Westwood Women's Bruin Club and The Town & Gown Affiliates to learn why babies babble, how babbling can change with exposure to new languages, and what it can teach adults about language.
