This June, join us as ASUCLA presents Café UCLA: Westwood 2025 to celebrate Arthur Ashe’s '66 historic 1975 Wimbledon victory — the first and only time a Black man has won the singles title.
In collaboration with the Arthur Ashe Legacy at UCLA, the Arthur Ashe Student Health & Wellness Center, the UCLA Store and UCLA Alumni, ASUCLA will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Arthur Ashe's monumental achievement. As a significant UCLA student-athlete, professional tennis player, civil rights activist and proponent of HIV/AIDS awareness and research, Arthur Ashe's impact reached many communities during his life and continues to inspire Bruins to this day.
Café UCLA will take place at Barney's Beanery and will be open to the public from Friday, June 27, through Sunday, June 29. Join us for free giveaways and a panel discussion with UCLA alumni and leaders on Saturday, June 28 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Plus, shop the brand new tennis-themed collection inspired by the era during which Ashe and several other notable alumni played at UCLA, now available at the UCLA Store.
