Monterey Area Network: 8th Annual Car Week Pebble Beach Hike

Break out your hiking shoes and water bottles to join the Monterey Bruins for a hike in Pebble Beach. We will meet next to the Fishwife Restaurant and be on a trail that starts on the outskirt of the Del Monte Forest. The majority of the hike is a trail that runs alongside 17 Mile Drive, close to the shoreline. It will be an out and back hike, approximately six miles in total. This is a special hike because 17 Mile Drive is closed to general vehicle traffic this day due to Car Week activities.

The turnaround point will be the parking area at Bird Rock. On the return trip, we will stop at the Inn at Spanish Bay to have a post hike social and listen to their famed bagpiper put the golf course to sleep in the Scottish tradition. From there it will be about a half mile hike back to our starting point.

If there is questionable weather for the hike, we will send an email to the email address used for the RSVP the day before the hike.
