New York Tri-State: Exclusive screening of “CANARY”

Join local Big Ten alumni for an exclusive screening of “CANARY” at the Explorer’s Club, presented by The Ohio State University Alumni Association.

This event includes a pre-show hors d'oeuvre and drink reception, screening of the film “Canary” and a Q&A with the film’s lead, Lonnie Thompson ’73 MS, ’76 PHD.

In this film, you will witness the extraordinary life of Dr. Lonnie Thompson, a distinguished professor of earth sciences and senior researcher at Ohio State — and an explorer who went where no scientist had gone before. Daring to seek Earth’s history contained in glaciers atop the tallest mountains in the world, Lonnie found himself on the frontlines of climate change. His life’s work evolved into a salvage mission to recover these priceless historical records before they disappear forever.
