Orange County: Climb & Connect at Sender One with Co- Founder Alice Kao ’01

Join the UCLA Alumni Orange County Network for an energizing morning of climbing, conversation, and community at Sender One in Santa Ana. We'll kick off with a one-hour Intro to Climbing Class (no experience needed!) followed by snacks and a talk with Sender One Co-Founder Alice Kao (UCLA ’01). Alice will share how she co-founded one of Southern California’s top climbing gyms, turning personal and professional adversity into a powerful story of connection, resilience, and purpose. Her journey is a masterclass in choosing action over perfection and building a business that elevates others.

10:30–11:30 AM: Learn to climb! (Basic knots, commands, safety checks, and belaying)
11:30–12:30 PM: Snacks, networking, and an inspiring talk with Alice Kao
