In 2020, concerns about COVID-19 caused UCLA’s Centennial Celebration in Mexico City to be postponed. But that postponement came with a promise — that our university would host the event when it was safe to do so.
This spring, Chancellor Gene Block and the UCLA delegation are very excited to celebrate with you in CDMX!
Join UCLA in Mexico City as we honor our promise. Chancellor Block will provide an update on campus priorities and highlight the impact of UCLA’s education, research, and public service. This magical evening will include presentations by UCLA-affiliated changemakers with deep roots in Latin America who will share the stories of connection and hope that inspire their actions. Network with Cindy Fan, Vice Provost for International Studies and Global Engagement, alumni, parents, and students from across the region who understand your pride in the UCLA experience.

“Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging matter. I did not always feel like I belonged. I’ll share why it’s important to find a supportive community and chart your course.”
“I want to dedicate my career to carving a space for underserved communities by bringing awareness to how our surroundings and upbringing make us who we are.”
Chancellor Block and the UCLA delegation look forward to greeting you in Mexico City.
