UCLA Latino Alumni Association Taquiza Tailgating at the Rosebowl for UCLA VS. Penn State

There’s nothing better than reuniting with fellow Latino Bruins over football, tacos, rifas, and a few surprises we promise you’ll be glad you showed up for.

We’re bringing our pride and passion to the Rose Bowl for the Oct. 4th game against Penn State, and we want YOU with us at the ultimate Latino Bruins Taquiza Tailgate. Come relive those unforgettable tailgate memories, reconnect with alumni, and make new ones over shared stories, team spirit, and maybe a margarita (or two).

We all know food is at the heart of any Latino gathering—and tailgating is no exception. LA might have a million takes on tacos, but we’re serving up the real deal: carne asada and al pastor hot off the grill at our aptly named Taquiza Tailgate. Because yes, tacos al pastor have been officially crowned the best food on earth (but you already knew that). A taquero will be on site, and your ticket covers the full meal—though tipping is always a good way to show some Bruin love.

Taquiza Tailgate Tips
• Latino energy is unmatched—bring the Bruin gear, the pom-poms, and don’t skip the sunscreen
• Go big, but pace yourself—we want this to feel like your college tailgates, just with wiser hydration choices
• Brace yourself for realizing how young the new generation of Bruins looks

It’s Hispanic Heritage Month, which means this isn’t just about football—it’s about community. Wherever you are in your Bruin journey, take pride in who you are and who you’re with. This celebration is for us.

Net proceeds from this event will go toward supporting student and alumni programming through ULAA.

Taquiza Tailgate Menu
Food: Three tacos (carne asada, al pastor, or chicken), with rice and beans on the side. Vegetarian option available upon request.
Drinks: Water and sodas (self-serve)
Alcohol: Two drinks included (beer, margarita mix, or seltzer). Feel free to BYOB if you're feeling extra celebratory.
