UCLA Latino Alumni Association Fireside Chat

Join us for our fall 2023 fireside chat that will feature two prominent alumni in the business and legal field. Following the fireside chat there will be a networking session between all alumni
and students from the UCLA Law, the UCLA Anderson School of Business and the UCLA undergraduates.

For this fireside chat, we’re collaborating with ALMA (Alliance for Latinx Management at Anderson ), LBSA (Latin Business Student Association), LSSA ( Latinx Law Students
Association) to be the bridge between alumni and students! See you there!

Speakers

Andrés Snaider '88 practiced law for 10 years before leaving the corporate track to form Nextant, an international, Latino-owned business consulting firm that has grown to 200 employees and, in just the last three years, was named back-to-back winner of Microsoft's Supplier of the Year Award and certified as a Great Place to Work. Snaider is also co-founder of Avanxo, a cloud computing services company that was sold to a publicly-traded company (Globant) in 2019.

Lena Y. Hines ’99, J.D.’02, a member of EY’s National Tax Department (based in Los Angeles), advises clients on the taxation of financial products and transactions. She began practicing with Shearman & Sterling LLP (DC) before she became a Big-4 accounting firm professional. Lena works to support and further EY’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and she is a member of the UCLA’s AAP Advisory Council, ULAA, UBAA and currently serves as a board member for the AAP Alumni Network.
