About the Speaker

Sandeep Prasanna, UCLA Luskin MPP Alumnus of the Year 2022, is a proud Double Bruin (MPP/JD 2015) based in Washington, DC. As a lawyer and policy expert, Sandeep has advised United States Senators, Representatives, Department of Justice (DOJ) officials, and others on some of the nation’s most pressing challenges—including hate crime laws, gun violence prevention, international and domestic terrorism, and the January 6th attack on the US Capitol. Sandeep currently works as a Senior Advisor at Miller & Chevalier Chartered, a DC-based law firm, where he focuses on congressional matters and other complex government and corporate investigative matters. He is also an adjunct law professor at UCLA, where he teaches a seminar on congressional investigations, and at Georgetown University, where he teaches a seminar on legal ethics and career development.
