Mindfulness is defined as a state achieved by focusing our attention, on purpose, in the present moment. Benefits of mindfulness include improved focus and attention, positive outlook and resilience, better sleep, and reduced anxiety and stress.
In this workshop, you will experience a variety of mindfulness practices including loving kindness, body scan, and breathing exercises, and learn how to bring mindfulness to your everyday life.
This workshop includes two half-days occurring on Sunday, November 3, and Sunday, November 10, 10am-1pm each.

All proceeds go to support a victim of domestic violence and a student scholarship fund.
About the Teacher
Michal Rinkevich (MBA '14) has been practicing healing arts and meditation since 1995 and teaching since 2006. She studied physiology and neuroscience, conducted brain and sleep research, and investigated the powerful interplay between body and mind. While at UCLA, Michal created mindfulness programs for MBA students, alumni and staff, and coached the 7th-ranked UCLA Gymnastics Team on stress management and mindfulness.
