Academics
The Academic Advancement Program (AAP) is a multiracial program designed to create and administer innovative academic programs for groups that have been historically underrepresented in higher education, provide academic support for a diverse population of undergraduate students in their pursuit of academic excellence, and to promote UCLA access and academic success for high school and community college students across California’s increasingly diverse populations.
The official UCLA Academic Calendar provides many noteworthy dates related to the university including the start and end dates of each academic term and important holidays.
- Academic Departments - College of Letters & Science
This is a compiled list of the departments and programs in the UCLA College of Letters & Science with links to each department’s individual website. This can help students find the faculty associated with the department and information on courses within each department.
CAC provides support to students in the form of academic advisement to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Clusters are classes that allow for greater depth and immersion for freshman students. They are year-long, collaboratively taught, and interdisciplinary.
The UCLA Registrar’s Office handles student records, class registration and enrollment, and has general information on requirements for the academic requirements students must meet for the University, their specific College and school, departments, and majors.
UCLA Library’s staff members provide expert help and services to advance teaching, learning, and research. Their website has a vast array of academic texts, information, and resources to aid students in their academic journey.
UCLA VPN allows students to connect to UCLA Library’s subscription content (databases, electronic journals, e-books, etc.) and other campus resources from off-campus.
UCLA offers experiences for undergraduate students to conduct research to help explore their interests, gain experience, and develop skills. The Undergraduate Research Center for Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences promotes, develops, and celebrates undergraduate student research with the overall goal of enhancing undergraduate education and preparing students for careers in all areas. The Undergraduate Research Center for Sciences focuses on increasing retention of science majors in all disciplines and preparing students for academic and research careers.
Health & Safety
The Arthur Ashe Student Health & Wellness Center is devoted to providing quality, accessible, state-of-the-art healthcare. It offers a variety of services to support the UCLA campus community.

- Case Management Services
Case Managers assist students who are struggling with their mental or physical health, facing unexpected challenges or crises, or experiencing a personal loss by helping them explore options, identify resources, and create a plan for their next steps.
CAE arranges accommodations for students who need them due to disability.
CAPS supports students’ mental health needs by providing a variety of services, from crisis counseling to individual counseling and psychotherapy to campus mental health and wellness promotion. All registered UCLA students are eligible for CAPS services.

RISE helps students build the skills to bounce back, persist, and thrive in the face of challenge. They promote resilience skills — emphasizing connection and belonging, service, self-efficacy and mastery, and self-reflection — through a variety of programs and services.
Financial Services
UCLA Business & Finance Solutions has compiled a page that details each of the different BruinBill Payment Methods so that you and your bruin can confidently select the payment method that best fits your needs.
The Financial Aid office helps students navigate their way through the financial aid process. Contact Financial Aid via Message Center.
Student Accounts oversees billing and collections for all student and various non-student accounts for campus. They are a great resource if you or your student are encountering issues with the BruinBill.
Third-Party Access allows a student to give access to their account to another person and can grant access by individual function.
Student Life
This resource helps Bruins discover a community that fits their needs by allowing them to search through the 1,300 student organizations that they can get involved in.
This page provides information on the various Campus Safety resources that can help your student stay safe at UCLA. These resources include the Campus Escort Service, Evening Van Service, and UCLA Police Department (UCPD).
The Central Ticket Office (CTO) is where you can find most tickets and information about events happening on campus and discounts available for the UCLA Community.
The Daily Bruin has served as UCLA’s main campus newspaper since 1919 and serves as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and community members of UCLA and Westwood and offers local insight and coverage of events, trends, and important topics on campus every day it publishes.
The Dashew Center provides resources, support, and advocacy for international students and scholars.
First To Go promotes campus involvement and visibility with a focus on the retention and success of first-generation college students at UCLA and serves as a research hub to assist current UCLA students as they navigate the campus and provide support in building community.
UCLA’s First Year Experience (FYE) is dedicated to equipping all first year students with the skills, tools, and knowledge supporting your transition to UCLA. FYE helps students navigate campus resources, provides programming, and offers research and information supporting First Year Bruins’ success.
Fraternities and sororities are an integral part of UCLA’s campus and serve to enhance the growth and development of UCLA students through their membership in, or engagement with, the fraternity and sorority community.
The LGBTQ Campus Resource Center provides a comprehensive range of education and advocacy services to support intersectional identity development and foster unity, wellness, and an open, safe, and inclusive environment for UCLA’s LGBTQ community.
New Student & Transition Programs is designed to serve the educational planning, academic advising, matriculation, and adjustment needs of all entering UCLA undergraduates, particularly through the hosting of New Student Orientations.
Residential Life (ResLife) helps students find community and make the most of their time on the Hill, providing opportunities for students to interact with other residents, support to ensure students’ academic success, and overall promote a sense of belonging for the diverse student community of UCLA.
UCLA Recreation works to provide high-quality recreational experiences for the UCLA campus community, featuring extensive access to a broad range of activities and services. They offer a variety of competitive, passive, social, cultural, and instructional recreational activities and manage the University’s recreational and athletic facilities.
UCLA Transportation supports the campus community by providing safe and efficient access and mobility in an environmentally responsible manner. They offer a variety of sustainable transportation programs, commute options, and parking services.
UCLA PD (UCPD) serves the multicultural, educational environment of UCLA faculty, staff, and students in Los Angeles. They provide a variety of services to the campus community, from managing the campus-wide lost & found to handling routine law enforcement activities to responding in the case of an emergency.
Networking & Career Planning
This program connects UCLA alumni and current UCLA students so that alumni can share their personal and professional experience and expertise with current UCLA students to help them prepare for a successful future.
UCLA Career Center provides resources to UCLA students to help them find a career that fits their interests and work towards landing that career. These resources come in the form of programs and workshops, one-on-one advisement, job search programs, and more.
Handshake is the UCLA Career Center’s platform for connecting students to services and employers. It helps talented Bruins find internships, jobs, and career opportunities.
UCLA ONE is a tool that helps Bruins connect; it helps current UCLA students find or meet Bruins in a trusted UCLA environment, allows alumni to introduce, employ, and offer to act as a mentor to current students and recent grads, and overall help Bruins expand their professional network.

UCLA Parent & Family Association provides opportunities for parents and families to get involved with the UCLA Community and helps them support their students.
