Jonathan Gold ’82

Jonathan Gold ’82, is a restaurant critic for the Los Angeles Times, and the author of Counter Intelligence: Where to Eat in the Real Los Angeles.
He has been restaurant critic for California, L.A. Weekly, Los Angeles magazine and Gourmet, has won seven James Beard Awards for his restaurant reviews, and was inducted this year into the Who's Who of Food and Beverage in America.
Gold also contributes to the radio shows Good Food and This American Life. In 2007 he became the first food writer to win a Pulitzer Prize for criticism.
