If you are a UCLA degree holder, fan, student, parent or just love UCLA, and you live in or near the San Fernando Valley, you are an SFV Bruin! The San Fernando Valley Bruins are an official UCLA Alumni Association Regional Support Group. Our purpose is to foster support for UCLA through social interaction with alumni and others who have bonds with UCLA.

The San Fernando Valley Bruins were originally founded in 1972 and their activities initially centered on UCLA athletics. Eventually, our activities expanded into cultural and on-campus events, and our efforts were channeled into scholarship fundraising for incoming freshman and junior college transfers. To date, more than $70,000 has been provided for scholarships to UCLA students from the San Fernando Valley. In addition, we have established a permanent endowment fund with the UCLA Alumni Association for future scholarships.
